Deliverables

Best practice workflows and tools for (design of):

D6.1 soft chemical/acid stimulation

D6.2 soft hydraulic stimulation

D6.3 technical performance monitoring and control

D6.4 environmental performance monitoring and control

D6.5 optimisation of the business case, based on optimized reservoir management and operation

WP6 aims to develop workflows and tools that enable decision-makers to deploy the demonstrated stimulation strategies in other settings proactively. This means reducing uncertainty in energy production estimates and adopting rigorous monitoring and control loops to safeguard environmental and technical performance and sustainability.

The workflows and tools will optimise modelling and monitoring of the DESTRESS soft stimulation techniques, and synthesise and generalise results from the site demonstration studies (WP4, WP5) in order to promote their deployment in other settings (feeding to WP2 and WP7). The activities will include:

  1. workflows and tools for robust prediction of geothermal energy production performance, for the two categories of soft stimulation techniques tested in this proposal for enhanced geothermal systems (Tasks 6.1 and 6.2);
  2. workflows and tools for technical (Task 6.3) and environmental (Task 6.4) performance monitoring for validation and control;
  3. workflows and tools for optimising the business case, based on closed loop reservoir management (Task 6.5).
