3rd Access Programme: Joint Horizon 2020 event of DESTRESS and DEEPEGS

    •   DESTRESS Home

Framing the geothermal workshop in Karlsruhe "Characterization of Deep Geothermal Systems" in mid-October, ES-Géothermie (ESG) scientists and staff members offer two field trips to the geothermal power plant sites in Soultz-sous-Fôrets and Rittershoffen in France. These side events will take place on the 11 and 14 of October.

The ESG-staff will guide you through the plants of Rittershoffen and Soultz, giving insights in the promising technology that deliver the Upper Rhine Graben region with renewable energy. Additionally, on 11 October ESG-scientists present the experiences made in the Alsatian geothermal power plants. They will cover topics such as soft stimulations in hard rocks, induced seismicity during reservoir stimulation and long-term geothermal exploitation.
